Adverbs of Frequency - II

English uses several adverbs of frequency. The following chart gives you an idea how the adverbs compare to one another:

100% - Always
95% - Almost Always
70% - Usually // Normally // Frequently // Often
50% - Sometimes // Occasionally
20% - Seldom // Rarely
5% - Almost Never
0% - Never

These percentages are approximate, but they will still help you to determine which one is appropriate for a given situation.

Also: every ~:
  • every day
  • every week
  • every month
  • every year
  • every Christmas
  • every hour
etc.

Every Christmas we go to Florida on vacation.
Give the patient his medicine every hour.
